The Daily Top 3 is a simple, powerful habit to help leaders focus on what matters most each day. It’s based on a simple truth: Once you’re clear on what you need to accomplish first, it’s easier to take action.
Each day, identify the three most important things you need to accomplish. These aren’t routine tasks or administrative work—they’re high-impact actions that move your business forward and align with your role, team priorities or desired future.
Implementation Tips:
- Create action items first thing in the morning or set them for the next day before you leave work each night. Click the star icon next to the most important items to set them as your Daily Top 3.
- Block time on your calendar to focus on completing your Daily Top 3. Make this a part of your morning routine or other existing habit to stay consistent.
- Choose actions aligned to your role, not just busy work. Ask yourself, “What three things will move us closer to our desired future today?”
Guardrails:
- Don’t let your Daily Top 3 turn into a to-do list. Focus on high-impact work—not just what’s urgent or easy.
- Don’t overload your list. If everything’s a priority, nothing is. While Elite doesn’t enforce a limit, we recommend sticking to three items to keep your priorities clear.
Next Steps:
Pair this practice with a time audit and calendar planning to stop reacting and start being intentional with your time.
